Despite playing a heavy role as the main antagonist in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Venom voice actor Tony Todd said that only 10 percent of the overall recorded dialogue was used in-game.
Sharing the idea on X (formerly Twitter) is user Evan Filarca who attended the Fan Expo San Francisco 2023 and said that Todd made confirmation regarding the extent of the recorded voice-over that made it into the final cut of the game.
.@TonyTodd54 has confirmed that Insomniac only used 10% of his Venom dialogue in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2!
However, what is important to note with the post was how Filarca mentioned the possibility of the majority of the voice records being used for later content in SM2. If not a DLC, it could mean a probable spinoff, starring the the symbiote anti-hero himself, Venom.
Aside from the social media post, Tony Todd also confirmed during a panel a recording of lines for the scrapped scenes when Miles Morales became infused with the symbiote.
Like the previous suspicion, that statement only fueled the speculation of probable future content where such voice recordings would be used.
