NIS America has announced that Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is coming to PS4 and PS5 on January 30, 2025. The SRPG sequel will be available in physical and digital formats.
The original Phantom Brave came out in 2004 and is getting a rerelease on PS5 later this year. The game tells the story of Marona, a young girl who can see Phantoms and uses this power to help people.
In The Lost Hero, Marona and her partner Ash end up separated due to a confrontation with pirates. Once the girl wakes up ashore, she gets to meet a timid pirate girl Phantom called Apricot and befriending her.
Now the two will embark in a journey through the seven seas to find their beloved ones. In the process, they’ll have to combine their powers, unlocking new systems that weren’t available in the previous game.
Besides confining ghosts to objects in the field, the player will be able to use Marona’s body to fuse with Phantoms in the Confriend system. It’ll also be possible to combine them with special artifacts through the Confire system.
