In their latest financial reports document, Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed some updated PS5 hardware numbers. As of March 31, 2024, the PS5 hardware itself has sold over 59.3 million.
4.5 million PlayStation 5 units were shipped during the three months ended March 31, 2024, which is 1.8 million less when compared from the same period the previous fiscal year. However, when we consider the entire fiscal year, then we have a 1.7 million unit increase from the previous year.
Furthermore, some details about the PlayStation Network were also revealed in this report. As of March 31, 2024, there are about 118 million monthly active users, a 10 million increase from last year.
In addition, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 software sold a combined 72.6 million units. 77% of those sales were full game digital downloads, which is up 7% from last year.
