Ironwoods Studios’ developing title, Pacific Drive, is slated for a physical release on the PlayStation 5 in Spring 2024, with several retail listings, like VGP, suggesting a Deluxe Edition on launch.
Per the aforementioned listing, Pacific Drive Deluxe Edition will have the following inclusions:
… base game, a set of 3 art cards from the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone, 24 page traveler’s journal, deluxe sleeve, reversible coversheet; as well as [a] pack of in-game cosmetic items for your station wagon.
Described as a “run-based, first-person driving survival game,” players take on the road with their customizable Station Wagon as their only companion. But set in a “surreal and anomaly-filled reimagining of the Pacific Northwest,” the players’ journey is anything but smooth and hazard-free.
Yet, while the roads in Pacific Drive are perilous, players have the power to gather what they can on the road, including car parts that they could reuse. This ability to forage resources gives the player the chance to explore the game’s surroundings slightly away from their cars while on foot.
Meanwhile, the players are also given an abandoned garage, which serves as a home base. In addition, it is also in this place where the player could tinker with their car to better survive the ordeals that await on the road.
Will the player survive the dangerous pathways of Pacific Drive in the name of demystifying its mysteries? They will soon find out when the game releases in the Spring of next year.
