Sony has shared a new launch trailer for Rise of the Ronin, their upcoming Japanese period drama developed by Koei Tecmo’s Team NINJA, ahead of its March 22, 2024 release. Titled “The Aftermath”, this launch trailer showcases a mix of cinematic action from the game and live action.
Rise of the Ronin is an action RPG where players get to explore a 19th century Japan open world. As political turmoil threatens the stability of the country, three main factions fight for the right to rule.
The Sabaku are Tokugawa loyalists, the Tobaku are a Japanese anti-shogunate reformist group, and the Obei are western forces trying to end the country’s isolationist policies. Players will have to navigate through these groups.
