Publisher Astrolabe Games has announced the release date for Shanghai Summer. The adventure game is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 8, 2024.
During the summer of 2023 in Shanghai, a young man called Baichuan feels like there’s something wrong with his life. After meeting his ex-girlfriend again, he starts seeing unfamiliar memories and living twelve days as if they were lucid dreams.
The player can explore the area in side-scroller fashion, looking for talk topics and clues. The story description teases the following about the characters:
Even though their lives are a total mess, they still manage to carry on, embrace and accept their “regrets”, and live to the fullest.
