Atlus has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The demon this time is a newcomer to the series, Nyami Nyami.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Nyami Nyami is a demon of African origin and has never been in any previous Shin Megami Tensei title. This brand new creature has a special ice skill where it pierces through the ground thanks to its drill format. It also uses the defense-enhancing Rakukaja in the video.
According to the silhouette, Vol. 031 of the Daily Demons video should feature Vritra, a demon that was not part of the base SMT V.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
