Atlus has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. This time we get a closer look at Anansi, one of the brand new demons for the game’s new edition.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Anansi is a new demon which was not available in any of the previous games. It draws inspiration from Western African mythologies.
In the video we get to see it use ice and dark skills. Both skills have a +2 bonus, indicating that its alignments should favor both elements.
The silhouette at the end seems to be of the traditional demon Mothman. It has appeared in many games of the franchise and was already part of the base Shin Megami Tensei V.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
