Atlus has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. This time we get a look at Mothman, a recurring creature that was already part of base SMT V.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Mothman is a classic demon in the franchise. It has appeared in multiple games, such as Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Soul Hackers 2, and the Persona games from 3 FES onwards.
In the new video, we get to see it using Zionga+1, the confusion-inducing Pulinpa, and Elec Block. Its alignment favors electrical skills and Elec Block is a handy way of nullifying the team’s weakness to it as well.
The next video should feature Bishamonten, a recurring demon that was already in base SMTV, according to the silhouette.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
