Atlus has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. It showcases Zhu Tun She, a returning demon that was in Soul Hackers 2.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Zhu Tun She is a Chinese monster that has appeared in multiple Shin Megami Tensei spin-offs. Its only appearance on mainline titles before was for Shin Megami Tensei IV and IV Apocalypse.
In the new video, we get a look at its basic attack, support and ailment skills. Its alignments should favor physical and ailment special attacks.
Going by the silhouette at the end, Vol. 041 should feature Michael. The archangel is one of the Herald demons in base Shin Megami Tensei V. It’s a recurring creature that showed up in multiple titles of the franchise.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
