ATLUS has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. The demon this time is Cironnup, a creature first introduced in SMT IV Apocalypse.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Cironnup is a fox-like creature that was already part of the original SMT V. It shows up in all Da’at areas and can guide the player to the location of the Miman in exchange for Macca.
As a fighting ally, it gets a bonus for Fire, Ice, Holy and Support skills. In the video, we can see it using an example of each of them except for Ice.
For the next video, we should get a look at Tzitzimitl, an Aztec deity that has been in multiple titles before. It wasn’t part of the original Shin Megami Tensei V and is a new addition for Vengeance.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
