ATLUS has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. The demon in today’s highlight is Nezha Taizi, which some of the series’ titles called Nata Taishi.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Nezha Taizi is a demon of Chinese origin. It has appeared in multiple titles of the series, even going as far as the first Shin Megami Tensei. However, its current design comes from Soul Hackers.
In the new video, we get to see it using physical, force and fire skills with a +2 bonus for them. This creature wasn’t part of the original Shin Megami Tensei V.
Going by the silhouette, the next demon will be Nekomata. This is a traditional creature and was already part of the base game before.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
