ATLUS has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. This time we get a closer look at Nekomata, a traditional creature that was already part of the base game.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Nekomata is a traditional has been in the series since its inception. It is a member of the Beast race and was already available as a partner in the original Shin Megami Tensei V.
Nekomata is weak to Ice and Electrical skills but nulls Force attacks. When attacking, it gets a bonus for Physical, Force and Ailment. In the video we get to see Nekomata, Cait Sith and Neko Shogun using a unique combination skill which is new to Vengeance:
Going by the silhouette, the next demon will be Halphas. Originally introduced in the first Soul Hackers, this creature is one of the new additions to Vengeance with its previous appearance on Soul Hackers 2.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
