ATLUS has shared a new daily demon video for Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. The 53rd entry in the video series highlights Efreet.
Vengeance is a new version of the latest mainline entry in the turn-based RPG series. Besides coming to PS4 and PS5 for the first time, it adds various elements and tweaks, such as the new “Vengeance” story route.
The player assumes the role of a young boy whose daily life is suddenly changed. Now in another world, he’s an easy prey for demons and ends up fusing with a mysterious individual to survive.
The result is that our protagonist becomes a half-human, half-demon called the Nahobino. Now he’ll have to look for a way back home and will end up figuring more about the truth behind everything.
Efreet is an Arabic creature that people usually associate with fire. It is a sort of jinn that shows up in the stories of the Arabian Nights and was not part of the original SMTV.
In the new video, we get to see it using Agidyne, Matarukaja and Maragidyne. For fire skills, Efreet gains a +5 bonus while Support skills get a +1.
Going by the silhouette at the end of Efreet’s video, the next demon should be Scathach. This creature was already part of the original SMTV.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance comes to PS4 and PS5 on June 14, 2024.
