The Mortuary Assistant Haunts Playstation Consoles Early August

Publisher DreadXP and developer DarkStone Digital are set to unleash The Mortuary Assistant on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 2, accompanied by a free “Definitive Edition” update for existing platforms, promising enhanced horrors and new challenges.

This horror experience, which first released for players on PC via Steam in 2022 and later on Switch in 2023, will now terrify console gamers. Players players step into the shoes of Rebecca Owens, a recent apprentice at River Fields Mortuary, where the normal boundaries between life and death begin to blur.

As night descends and demonic forces stir, Rebecca must navigate unsettling embalming tasks and occult rituals to uncover the mortuary’s dark secrets and save herself from malevolent spirits. The Definitive Edition includes a host of new Haunt Events, an endless embalming-only mode, new bodies, additional lore, a new Valentine’s Day seasonal event in February, performance improvements, and more.
