Top Five Nintendo Direct June 2024 Playstation Announcements

Nintendo has shared their June 2024 Nintendo Direct presentation today. Though the focus of the video is on the Switch, many of the announcements were multiplatform and are coming to PlayStation systems.

Seeing that, we decided to write this feature, selecting some of the best reveals from the presentation. Here are some games we are keeping our eyes on, most of which are likely to appeal to JRPG fans.

5. Ace Attorney Investigations Collection

With pretty much every game in the Ace Attorney series available on PlayStation 4 now, this new collection adds the last two big pieces. The two entries with prosecutor Miles Edgeworth as the protagonist are coming to PS4 on September 6, 2024.

4. FAIRY TAIL 2

An unexpected reveal during the Nintendo Direct was FAIRY TAIL 2. The upcoming sequel to Gust’s RPG will feature the final arc for Hiro Mashima’s manga series and will come to PlayStation 4 and 5 in Winter 2024.

3. Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero

Another unexpected sequel was Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero. Bringing back the PlayStation 2 title with a brand new followup was probably not on anyone’s predictions. The tactical RPG is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2025.

2. FANTASIAN Neo Dimension

Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Apple Arcade game is currrently unavailable anywhere as the game was delisted from the iOS store. Thankfully, the Nintendo Direct brought an announcement that the title is coming to modern platforms. Publisher Square Enix has already confirmed the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and 5 this winter.

1. Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

While Square Enix is no stranger to rereleasing old classics, I doubt anyone would predict this particular Nintendo Direct reveal. Bringing back the classic Romancing SaGa 2 with a full-fledged 3D remake that looks as gorgeous as this was a huge highlight for the event and it should be on any JRPG fan’s wishlist.

Other announcements included Farmagia, Dragon Quest III HD-2D (along with I&II HD-2D), MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, Hello Kitty Adventure Island, Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports, METAL SLUG ATTACK RELOADED, and MIO: Memories in Orbit.
