This guide aims to show you the location of all Nemeses in Visions of Mana, my Soul Guard colleague. Nemeses are rare enemies, stronger than the species they represent, and are always tied to some elemental power. Defeating them guarantees their corestone, which can be exchanged for an Ability Seed or Niccolo Coins. Nemeses in Visions of Mana are also tied to the Expert Exterminator trophy, which requires killing all Nemeses, and the Bestiary trophy for defeating all the enemies in the game.
We will list all thirty Nemeses and their locations according to the in-game bestiary ordering. This way, if you’re missing one on your list, it will be easy to identify which one by following our order. We will also show the Nemeses’ level, element, and weakness if they have one.

All Nemeses in Visions of Mana
Brutal Guri
- Spawn Spot: Charred Passage
- Level: 52
- Resistance: Earth/Dark
- Weakness: Wind/Light
It’s a bit contradictory to start the list with Brutal Guri since it’s one of the last Nemeses you’ll face, but this is the in-game order. This enemy is one of the eight Nemeses found inside the Ancient Ruins scattered across various maps. After unlocking the entrance to the ruins in Charred Passage, located to the east of the first Meridian, Brutal Guri will be inside.
Tricky Buju
- Spawn Spot: Charred Passage
- Level: 2
- Resistance: Wood
- Weakness: None
Tricky Buju will likely be the first Nemeses you encounter, serving as the game’s tutorial. Honestly, we don’t know if it’s possible to miss it since it’s right in your path in Charred Passage. But if you didn’t face it by any chance, you’ll find the rare Rabite near the map’s second Meridian.
Hoarding Blosslay
- Spawn Spot: Charred Passage
- Level: 4
- Resistance: Wind/Wood
- Weakness: Slash/Earth
This plant-like monster is at a higher ground than the region’s usual. If you have the Wind Vessel, teleport to Aery Passage and activate the Wind Trigger nearby. You’ll be propelled upward. Behind you will be a bridge; follow it, and you’ll soon find the Nemeses.
Floret Triffid
- Spawn Spot: Fallow Steppe
- Level: 11
- Resistance: Earth/Wood
- Weakness: Slash/Wind
In Fallow Steppe, you’ll have access to Pikuls, which is very helpful for exploring. The location for this Nemeses is between two Meridians, so you decide which is the better starting point. Then, ascend a small hill to find the demon plant.
Grave Picus
- Spawn Spot: Aery Passage
- Level: 50
- Resistance: Wind/Light
- Weakness: Earth/Dark
In Aery Passage, fast travel to the Meridian in the southeast of the map, then head west until you find a waterfall. The Nemeses will be at its base. Grave Picus is the target of the Death’s Portent quest, acquired in Longren later in the game.
Deft Chitto
- Spawn Spot: Aery Passage
- Level: 51
- Resistance: Wind/Wood
- Weakness: Earth
Fast travel to the northeastern Meridian in Aery Passage and go south until you drop down a ledge. The Nemeses Deft Chitto will be hanging with its goons by a campfire.
Tangoing Matsootaken
- Spawn Spot: Aery Passage
- Level: 6
- Resistance: Water/Wood
- Weakness: Slash/Fire
This sneaky mushroom is near Aery Passage’s entrance. From the Meridian, head east, and you’ll soon find the Nemeses near an inscribed rock plate.
Custodial Truffle
- Spawn Spot: Ahrvet’s Pasture
- Level: 55
- Resistance: Earth/Wood
- Weakness: Slash/Wind
Custodial Truffle is a Nemeses found inside the Ancient Ruins in Ahrvet’s Pasture. Start from Illystana’s nearby Meridian, jump over the first bridge with a Pikul, or do a double jump and an air dash, then cross the second bridge to reach the ruins. Kill all the enemies to unlock the seal, and you’ll find the Nemeses inside.
Bolt Urus
- Spawn Spot: Aery Passage
- Level: 53
- Resistance: Earth/Wood
- Weakness: Strike/Wind
Yet another Nemeses cloistered in the Ancient Ruins. To reach it, teleport to Aery Passage’s southernmost Meridian and keep heading south until you reach the ruins. Kill the enemies, unlock the door, find Bolt Urus, and eliminate it mercilessly.
Charging Propul
- Spawn Spot: Zawhak Desert
- Level: 20
- Resistance: Earth/Light
- Weakness: Strike/Wind/Dark
This Nemeses is just beside Zawhak Desert’s southern Meridian, waiting to be charged. Fast travel there, go slightly south, and you’ll find Charging Propul.
Plundering Tytonrik
- Spawn Spot: Lefeya Drifts
- Level: 9
- Resistance: Wind/Water
- Weakness: Fire/Earth
From the entrance to Mt. Gala, head north, hopping over some mountainous sections, and then drop down to a frozen lake. Plundering Tytonrik will be flying there alongside a lone Sahagin.
Armed Griv
- Spawn Spot: Lefeya Drifts
- Level: 10
- Resistance: Water/Earth
- Weakness: Wind/Fire
Armed Griv is both close and far from the previous Nemeses. That’s because it’s on elevated ground, so you’ll need to fast travel to the northern Meridian in Lefeya Drifts, walk east, and make a U-turn to climb the small hill. It’s also possible to reach the Nemeses by hopping between the cliffs, though it’s a bit clumsy.
Jointed Tikkle
- Spawn Spot: Lefeya Drifts
- Level: 53
- Resistance: Water/Dark
- Weakness: Fire/Light
This Nemeses location is in the Ancient Ruins far west of Lefeya Drifts. You can fast travel to Mt. Gala entrance or the northern Meridian. After clearing all the enemies in the ruins, an access point will appear near a staircase.
Puppet Meriska
- Spawn Spot: Fallow Steppe
- Level: 52
- Resistance: Wood/Light
- Weakness: Strike/Dark
Puppet Meriska is near the northern Meridian of Fallow Steppe, close to the entrance to Rhata Harbor. After fast traveling to it, head south a bit, and you’ll find the light-aspected bee along with her workers. Puppet Meriska is the target of the Queen Bee quest, acquired in Etaern later in the game.
Nocturnal Droon
- Spawn Spot: Pritta Ridge
- Level: 13
- Resistance: Moon/Wood
- Weakness: Strike
In Pritta Ridge, fast travel either to the entrance to Illystana or the central Meridian of the region. Then, using the map for guidance, follow the cliff trail to the north until a passage reveals itself. Take a turn and head south, climbing the cliff to find Nocturnal Droon at its end.
Gem Valley Ochoro
- Spawn Spot: Fallow Steppe
- Level: 11
- Resistance: Earth/Light
- Weakness: Wind/Dark
Head northeast from Rime Falls’ entrance while descending all the slopes until you reach an expanded corner on the map and find the Nemeses there. However, the most practical way to find Gem Valley Ochoro is by taking the No Place Like Home side quest from an NPC in the middle of the Fallow Steppe, as the monster is the quest’s objective.
Phantom Bedditear
- Spawn Spot: Khaswia Moors
- Level: 18
- Resistance: Earth/Wood
- Weakness: Wind
The screenshot doesn’t show it because we haven’t unlocked it yet, but there’s a Meridian in the center of Khaswia Moors that puts you close to the Nemeses. Fast travel there, head a little south and take the first turn east. If you’re hunting all the chests in the region, you’ll eventually cross paths with Phantom Bedditear since the monster is close to one.
Manipulated Bruiser
- Spawn Spot: Fallow Steppe
- Level: 54
- Resistance: Moon/Light
- Weakness: Strike/Dark
Fast travel to the region’s northern Meridian. Manipulated Bruiser is inside Fallow Steppe’s Ancient Ruins. You know the drill, kill all the enemies, remove the seal from the ruins, enter it, and kill the Nemeses in the most painful way possible.
Pawn Caruma
- Spawn Spot: Khaswia Moors
- Level: 17
- Resistance: Moon/Dark
- Weakness: Strike/Light
In Khaswia Moors, jump to the Tsaata entrance and immediately head all the way east to find Pawn Caruma and his Tomatoman pals ready for your offensive.
Greedy Tummsect
- Spawn Spot: Pritta Ridge
- Level: 13
- Resistance: Moon/Wood
- Weakness: None
There’s a Meridian in the center of Pritta Ridge, so fast travel to it. Then head south until you find a hill to the east and climb north to see the Greedy Nemeses at the top.
Sizzled Creepillar
- Spawn Spot: Pritta Ridge
- Level: 14
- Resistance: Fire/Wood
- Weakness: Strike/Water
Fast travel to the lone northern Meridian of Pritta Ridge and follow the path to the east, keeping to the road. Eventually, you’ll reach two bridges, one decrepit wooden bridge and one made of stone. Your goal is to head to the stone bridge and jump down, throwing caution to the wind. The Sizzled Creepillar will be in a clearing after your fall.
Gluttonous Tirpel
- Spawn Spot: Ahrvet’s Pasture
- Level: 52
- Resistance: Wood/Dark
- Weakness: Strike/Light
This centipede is on the northernmost part of Ahrvet’s Pasture, near a chest. There’s a Meridian between Dura Gorge and Entwine Bridgepass that makes access easier.
Astral Thrace
- Spawn Spot: Pritta Ridge
- Level: 54
- Resistance: Wind/Moon
- Weakness: Earth
Another Ancient Ruins spawn, this time in Pritta Ridge. The ruins are insanely close to Luka Ruins’ entrance, so hop on your fast travel and go slightly south to face some menacing high-level enemies before entering the ruins and fighting Astral Thrace.
Beguiling Celaeno
- Spawn Spot: Khaswia Moors
- Level: 18
- Resistance: Wind/Water
- Weakness: Fire/Earth
From Khaswia Moors’ entrance, or the Meridian near it, head south until you find an open path west. Once you enter this path, instead of continuing west, immediately turn east and skirt the southern trail around the rock. A Grizzly Syrup trail will lead you to the top if you haven’t collected them yet. If you have, do some platforming, and you’ll encounter the Nemeses location at the top of the rock.
Inexplicable Gunk
- Spawn Spot: Ahrvet’s Pasture
- Level: 53
- Resistance: Slash/Strike/Wind
- Weakness: Wood
Inexplicable Gunk is a Nemeses that only appears after accepting a quest called Menaces by the Manor. The quest is unlocked during Chapter 7 and can be acquired from an NPC on the bridge near the manor. After accepting it, climb the road and find the slime in the manor’s courtyard.
Fortune Guesser Popple Pupil
- Spawn Spot: Ahrvet’s Pasture
- Level: 15
- Resistance: Wind/Moon/Water/Fire/Earth/Light/Dark
- Weakness: None
Coincidentally, this Nemeses is located almost in the same spot as the previous one, but instead of being at the manor, it’s on the bridge where the NPC hands the quest. The most practical way is to fast travel to the first Meridian in Ahrvet’s Pasture, then cross the two bridges. The broken bridge can be crossed with a Pikul jump or a double jump followed by an air dash.
Magic User Ambrose
- Spawn Spot: Khaswia Moors
- Level: 55
- Resistance: Wind/Water/Fire/Earth/Light/Dark
- Weakness: None
The location for this Nemeses is inside the Ancient Ruins in Khaswia Moors. The central Meridian is the quickest access point. Fast travel there, head northwest, then north, circumventing the area until you reach the ruins. Ambrose’s located inside after breaking the seals. Magic User Ambrose is one of the hardest Nemeses in the game because, besides having numerous resistances and no weaknesses, he’s accompanied by several high-level minions.
Char Tamulus
- Spawn Spot: Zawhak Desert
- Level: 21
- Resistance: Fire/Earth
- Weakness: Strike/Wind/Water
It’s not in the screenshot, but there’s a Meridian near Char Tamulus’ location. Fast travel to it and walk northwest to reach a small alcove where the flaming scorpion awaits you to cool it off.
Scorched Pavlov
- Spawn Spot: Zawhak Desert
- Level: 54
- Resistance: Moon/Water/Fire/Earth/Wood/Light/Dark
- Weakness: Strike/Wind
Scorched Pavlov is near the desert’s southernmost Meridian. Fast travel to it, stride west and find the knight on a plateau. This Nemeses is also the target of the sidequest Devil in the Dunes.
Extant Miasopia
- Spawn Spot: Zawhak Desert
- Level: 56
- Resistance: Slash/Strike/Water
- Weakness: Fire
The last Nemeses on the list is inside the Ancient Ruins of Zawhak Desert. As usual, kill the enemies to unlock the seals and proceed through the newly-opened door. You’ll find Extant Miasopia after a staircase.
And that’s all the Nemeses locations in Visions of Mana. Congratulations!
Hunting All Nemeses Rewards
As mentioned, hunting all Nemeses serves two purposes. The first is a practical one because you can get their corestones and trade for some powerful Ability Seeds to customize your party. A few Nemeses don’t provide Seeds, but their stone can be exchanged for Niccolo Coins, a currency used to obtain other Ability Seeds. The second reason is to unlock the Expert Exterminator and Bestiary trophies, one for killing all Nemeses and the other for defeating all in-game monsters, respectively.
We hope this guide for all Nemeses locations in Visions of Mana was useful. Don’t forget to check out other guides from PSLegends!
