Developer Crazy Viking Studios and Publisher Digital Eclipse have announced earlier today that their side-scrolling action game Völgarr the Viking II will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 6, 2024.
Taking place 10 years after Völgarr the Viking, this sequel title is set against the backdrop of new and bigger-than-ever Norse-inspired worlds. Players take control once more of the great warrior Völgarr, where you must choose your actions wisely: Jump, duck, slide, and dodge to avoid deadly enemies while remaining cognizant of the threats posed by your environment.
The game also has six distinct endings based on player performance, where only the masterfully skilled will unlock a hidden level to battle a secret final boss. Furthermore, speedrunners can also access features such as an on-screen timer and a no-HUD mode.
