Square Enix has shared a new video for Saga Emerald Beyond. With the game already available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the company has localization director Neil Broadley explain the battle system.
Emerald Beyond is the latest edition in the classic turn-based RPG series that started back in 1989. The game is standalone and can be played without having any previous knowledge of the series.
In the new title, players will pick one of the five protagonist options and explore 17 interconnected worlds. Each area has its own culture and unique elements to it.
For the new game, one of the main attractions is the battle system, which features a revamped timeline mechanic from the previous release, Scarlet Grace Ambitions.
The player must understand the timing implications of each attack and make it so their actions become combos. However, enemies may also abuse this system, so it’s important to understand it properly.
