Final Fantasy XIV Online Reveals Patch 7.1: “Crossroads”; Releases Mid-November

During the Letter from the Producer Part LXXXIII LIVE broadcast streamed from Tokyo Game Show 2024, Square Enix has revealed the next patch update for their Final Fantasy XIV Online MMORPG.

The new 7.1 Patch, titled Crossroads, will be releasing in the middle period of November, adding a further continuation to the Main Scenario Quest, new battle content and even some new content for crafters.

What’s Coming in Patch 7.1

  • New Main Scenario Quest: Continuing from Dawntrail’s ending in 7.0, our first Post-Dawntrail story quest will begin.
  • New Allied Society Tribe: Pelupelu: The Pelupelu tribe will be added to the list of allied societies. Their quests will be focused on Disciple of War and Disciple of Magic jobs.
  • New Custom Delivery NPC: Nitowike: Disciples of Land and Hand will be able to do special quests for Nitowike in Shaaolani.
  • Inconcievably Further Hildibrand Adventures: The Manderville quest line continues in Dawntrail, with the first installment of Inconcievably Further Hildibrand Adventures quest in Solution Nine.
  • New Role Quests and Wachumeqimeqi Delivery Finale: New Dawntrail role quests, as well as the finale for those who’ve cleared all Wachumeqimeqi Delivery NPCs, featuring a cutscene, will be added.
  • New Game+ Support for Patch 7.0: Replay main scenario quests, job quests, and role quests with the New Game+ feature expansion.
  • Duty Support Additions: Support for the non-main scenario quest dungeon Halatali will be implemented, with further additions in the future.
  • New Trial and Unreal Trial  The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden, which is the Extreme version of The Interphos, Dawntrail’s final trial. Furthermore, players will get to face off against Byakko, one of the Four Lords, at level 100 in the new Unreal trial!
  • Chaotic Alliance Raid – The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic): A new 24-player, high-difficulty raid type, the Chaotic Alliance Raid, will be added to the game. Information about the rewards will be revealed at a later date.
  • Final Fantasy XI Crossover Alliance Raid Part 1: A new 24-player raid will be added. This is the first of the three planned alliance raids for Dawntrail in collaboration with Final Fantasy XI.
  • Miscellaneous Updates – Additional updates for the Hall of the Novice with training for a wide range of different battle mechanics, NPC voiceovers added to Doman Mahjong and much, MUCH more!
