BAR Stella Abyss Gets 3 New Japanese Commercials

Nippon Ichi Software has shared three new videos for BAR Stella Abyss. They’re Japanese commercials for the roguelite, which is coming out in Japan on February 15, 2024 for PlayStation 4 and 5.

BAR Stella Abyss is a game that mixes tactical RPG with roguelike elements and dungeon exploration. In a few ways, its structure is similar to Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook but using drinks instead of food.

The game tells the story of a cursed young man who goes to a special bar every night. There, he gets drunk and gets transported to other worlds where he can look for the things he lost, like his face and arm.

To better explore the areas, players must create special cocktails with various effects. They’ll also have to talk with some of the other regulars, getting closer to those individuals and potentially adding them to the exploration party.

The three short new videos showcase different portions of the game’s experience. The first video shows the loop of going to the bar then to the other world:

The second commercial is entirely focused on the social aspect of drinking:

The final video strictly focuses on the multiple partner characters:
