BAR Stella Abyss Gets Japanese Demo on February 15 and New Music Video

Nippon Ichi Software has announced a demo for BAR Stella Abyss. It’ll be possible to get an early look at the Japanese edition of the upcoming tactical roguelike on February 15, 2024.

BAR Stella Abyss is a game that mixes tactical RPG with roguelike elements and dungeon exploration. In a few ways, its structure is similar to Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook but using drinks instead of food.

The game tells the story of a cursed young man who goes to a special bar every night. There, he gets drunk and gets transported to other worlds where he can look for the things he lost, like his face and arm.

To better explore the areas, players must create special cocktails with various effects. They’ll also have to talk with some of the other regulars, getting closer to those individuals and potentially adding them to the exploration party.

The demo will include only the first chapter of the story. This will include a few initial story beats and the first dungeon dive, as well as access to the bar features.

The company has also shared a new music trailer for the game. This time we get the chance to listen to Ashes are Burning -battle ver.-. ZIZZ Studio’s Yo Oyama composed the combat track.

BAR Stella Abyss comes to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024 in Japan. NIS America is likely to announce it for the West in the future, considering their localization history.
