Cyberpunk 2077 Developers Announce Live Action Project

Developer of Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt Red has revealed in partnership with Anonymous Content Studios, that they are searching for a screenwriter for a live action adaptation of the 2020 game.

Few details past this are available, it will be a film, or a TV series based in the world of Cyberpunk, using the same characters featured in the game like V, Johnny Silverhand and Rogue but with a whole new story, but hopefully bringing back the star-studded cast.

Even with the well documented number of problems the game faced upon its release, this huge RPG based in a futuristic hub town of corruption and debauchery still sold over 25 million copies so far.

This news has been revealed after the release of update 2.0 and the story DLC Phantom Liberty, which has improved the gameplay massively and can now be considered a fully polished title. This new DLC (as off 05/10/23) has sold over three million copies since its release on the 26th of September 2023.

If completed this will become the latest in a long line of series/films adapted from a video game which have varying results. For every Last of Us or Detective Pikachu there is Doom and Bloodrayne.

Future information about this impending project will be reported here and let us know below who you would want to see star in the film/series.
