Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos gets its first DLC

Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos

Natsume’s latest entry in the famed simulation game franchise—Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos—just got its first DLC launched, titled “Visitors from Afar”.

The $12.99 DLC package brings in a new chapter and new characters into the game, including a new bachelor and bachelorette—the CEO Charlotte and her assistant Jacques. As a bonus, the game will also feature steampunk-inspired outfits to try as well as new furniture.

Along with the launch of the DLC, Natsume is also releasing several Special Editions of the game, each of which with a unique offering to sweeten the deal. The Specials Editions can be bought directly from the official Natsume store. Interested fans can choose among the Launch Bundle, Premium Edition, Collector’s Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Holiday Plush Bundle.

PlayStation 5 owners, for example, can select the Launch Bundle for $69.99, which comes with Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos Video Game, a Sleepy Time Cow Plush, and a 72-page official game artbook. Buying each item separately would cost $49.99, $14.99, and $29.99, respectively.

Set in a place known as Anthos, players of Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos will, once again, encounter the Harvest Sprites. These are the iconic creatures of the franchise, known for protecting the people and nature in Harvest Moon. The Harvest Goddess is making a re-appearance, too. Who, in addition to the Harvest Sprites, saved the inhabitants of Anthos from an unprecedented volcanic explosion about 20 years ago.

In true Harvest Moon fashion, farming and raising animals will play major roles in the player’s life in Anthos. That is, as the player rebuilds the villages that were cut off by the massive natural incident.
