There are plenty of playable characters in Sonic Superstars. But did you know that there is a secret unlockable character in-game?
Apart from the series staples, Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Eggman (and another villain called Fang), there is another character to add to the player’s roster of playable characters. Her name is Trip the Sungazer and is essentially one of the baddies in Sonic Superstars.
Who is Trip?
An original character made specifically for the game, Trip is an armored lizard with spiky spines. She joins the ranks of Dr. Eggman and Fang, which makes her one of the antagonists in the game. The purpose of her being is simple—help Dr. Eggman and Fang transform the animals of Northstar Island into Badniks.
How to unlock Trip?
Unlocking Trip is pretty straightforward and does not require doing anything special. All the player will have to do is advance through the game’s storyline and reach the part where they have to fight the gargantuan Dr. Eggman robot. This takes place in Egg Fortress Zone Act 2.
Finish the grand battle, and watch the ending animation, as well as the credits roll. Past this point, Trip will be automatically unlocked, including a new mode called Trip’s Story. If you are looking for a more challenging version of the original story mode campaign, then playing Trip’s Story is a must.
