Level-5 has announced the release date for Megaton Musashi: Wired. The mecha action RPG will be available worldwide on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on April 25, 2024.
Megaton Musashi: Wired is the latest edition of Level-5’s giant robot battle series. Wired is a revised edition of the very first game originally released only in Japan with new content.
The story takes place in 2118 after the Draktor alien force destroys mankind. Now, a young man called Yamato Ichidaiji, is one of the pilots risking their lives piloting the giant Rogues robots to recapture Earth.
The games have also been adapted into an anime series, with Story Mode in Megaton Musashi: Wired expanding the plot beyond its ending. Players can also enjoy battling their friends casually or challenging Ranked Matches in online Multiplayer.
Among the new features, Wired has cross-play and cross-save for all systems, allowing players to migrate from PC or Switch to PS4 and PS5, and vice versa.
The game also includes collabs with seminal mecha franchises Combattler V, Voltes V, Mazinger Z, and Getter Robo.
