Atlus has shared a new trailer for Persona 3 Reload. This time we get to see a “battle strategy” video exploring some of the game’s relevant systems.
Persona 3 Reload is a remake of a classic PS2 JRPG. In the game, we follow a group of young individuals who become part of the S.E.E.S. organization.
Together, they must investigate the mysterious Dark Hour, a 13th hour that has monsters called Shadows lurking around. Though the moon stages bring with them dangerous foes, every night also turns Gekkoukan High into a mysterious tower called Tartarus.
Battles in the game are turn-based and, as usual for Shin Megami Tensei games, exploring the enemies’ weakness is the key to success. Each foe will have specific elements that cause extra damage on them.
By exploiting this mechanic, players will be able to attack again or shift turns with another ally. Your best bet is making sure all enemies are downed by hitting their weaknesses, unlocking the powerful All-Out Attack.
However, enemies can also exploit this system, so it’s important to be careful about your own team composition and Persona choice. Another system to use is Theurgy, a powerful skill unlocked by filling up the characters’ respective gauges.
