Persona Series Sell Over 22 Million Copies Worldwide; New Persona 3 Reload Trailer Released

Atlus and SEGA have just announced that as of March 2024, the Persona series has now sold over 22 million copies across both physical and digital mediums, worldwide.

In addition to this, March 5th is known as the Promised Day in Persona 3, so the developer has also released a new “Promise” trailer for Persona 3 Reload.

The first title in the Persona series, Megami Ibunroku Persona, was released in 1996. The latest title in the series, Persona 5 has been well received worldwide and has become one of Atlus’ most popular JRPGs worldwide. In addition, Persona 3 Reload was released on February 2, 2024, and within one week of its release, it sold a total of 1 million copies worldwide.

Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the classic JRPG originally released on the PS2. In the game, we follow a group of young individuals who become part of the S.E.E.S. organization. Together, they must investigate the mysterious Dark Hour, a 13th hour where monsters called Shadows lurk around. Though the moon stages bring with them dangerous foes, every night also turns Gekkoukan High into a mysterious tower called Tartarus.
