Square Enix has shared a new video for Saga Emerald Beyond. Titled “Learn About SaGa”, it explores the series’ history from the original Makai Toshi SaGa up to the new one.
Emerald Beyond is the latest edition to the long-running turn-based RPG franchise. The series started in 1989 and had multiple releases since then.
The new video emphasizes the options to play previous games and properly understand the unique aspects of its RPG elements.
Emerald Beyond is totally independent from other releases, however. In it, players will have the chance to explore 17 interconnected worlds, each with their respective cultures. Multiple playable characters can be chosen.

SaGa Emerald Beyond comes to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on April 25, 2024. A demo is currently available on PlayStation Store.
