Skunkape Games has revealed Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4 in Spring 2024. The game was originally revealed as a 2023 release for undefined platforms, making the news a delay and system reveal for the games.
Sam & Max is a series of adventure titles following the antropomorphic investigators of the same name. The concept creator was Steve Purcell, who initially used them for a comic book series. The characters were later part of a LucasArts videogame in 1993.
Following the cancellation of a sequel in 2004, Telltale Games would assume the IP and develop three episodic games for Sam & Max. The final title of the trilogy was The Devil’s Playhouse.
In The Devil’s Playhouse, the duo has to face new challenges as Max gets a toy that allows him to see the future and intergalatic villains show up to take this artifact.
The remaster edition will offer updated graphics and lighting, lip-sync, and higher quality in the audio department to make sure the game’s fit for modern systems. Other features include user interface enhancements and accessibility settings.
