Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Gets New 15-Minute ‘Complete Guide’ Video; Reveals New Demons, Dungeon and Systems

SEGA and its subsidiary ATLUS have shared a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. This 15-minute video, titled “Complete Guide”, has an extensive new look at all the new systems, dungeons and demons that will be introduced in this version.

New Demons to Recruit

First, the video introduces three new demons that will be recruitable in the game: [Enigma] Onyankopon, [Genma] Anansi and [Dragon] Nyami Nyami. They have new designs drawn by Shin Megami Tensei character designer Masayuki Doi, which you can view below:

New Dungeon: Shakan

Next, we have the new dungeon that will be added for the new story portion of the game, called Shakan, which is a sacred place and a forbidden land hidden in Shinjuku. The rotation devices and the angels that guard the sacred place stand in the way of the protagonist.

New Miracles Added!

Next up, we have Miracles. Inside the Netherworld, you can obtain Glory, which allows you to learn Miracles. These give you an advantage in Netherworld exploration and battles against demons, to those that affect conversation, fusion, skill affinity, and growth. But don’t worry, some of them are toggles that can be turned on and off.

New Sub-Quests!

And finally, several new sub-quests were added, including the downloadable content quests sold in the original Nintendo Switch release. One of them, titled Return of the True Demon, can be completed by fulfilling certain conditions, allowing you to add [Chaos] Demi-fiend from Shin Megami Tensei III Vengeance as your party member!
