Publisher Serenity Forge announced Slay The Princess: The Pristine Cut. This new edition of Black Tabby’s visual novel comes to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in fall 2024.
Slay the Princess is a black-and-white visual novel with full English narration. It came out on PC in 2023 and became a hit among players and critics alike.
With psychological horror elements, the game tells the story of a warrior with the task to save the world. In order to do that, he must slay a princess inside an old shack.
However, things may not be what they seem, with the player having the opportunity to question this purpose. The branching narrative evolves in many ways depending on the choices we pick.
The Pristine Cut adds three new chapters and expands the events of The Den, The Apotheosis, and The Fury. It also gives an extra ending to the story. Altogether the additions account for 35% the original game, so it’s a sizable expansion.
