On its way to getting an official release early next year, Tekken 8 has announced the 31st fighter in its roster—Victor Chevalier. The announced fighter is the latest addition to the other recently revealed fighters in Namco Bandai’s popular beat-em-up title. He joins Lee Chaolan, Alisa Bosconovitch, Zafina, and Devil Jin.
A Frenchman, Victor Chevalier hails from a lineage of esteemed knights, with a heroic pursuit of saving those in need. With his noble ambition, he founded the UN’s independent forces, while earning the glorious title of being a legend among the living.
Sensing that trouble is brewing from a certain giant corporation, Victor established and trained the Raven Force with the purpose of countering the threat of the corporation’s private militia. The Raven Force has the reputation of being independent as its members are trained to act out of volition when fulfilling their duties.
A true blue Frenchman with a taste for good fashion, Victor Chevalier dons a haute couture suit and uses optical weapons during combat.
Victor Chevalier is given life by the French actor Vincent Cassel who made a name for himself initially in the 1995 movie Hate. Since then, Cassel, who is also a longstanding player of Tekken, has made appearances in other films. Notably, It’s Only the End of the World, Black Swan, Eastern Promises, Mesrine, and Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen.
Another fighter, the 32nd, will be announced on November 12, 2023.
