The Sims 4’s latest expansion lets you live the life of a landlord on console as For Rent rolls out to PlayStation 4 on December 7, 2023.
In For Rent, players are given a whole new environment to explore and enjoy as they take on the shoes of a property owner who rents their virtual space to tenants. Players are not only thrust into the world of property management but also the nature of the business behind it. More specifically, in how to profit from tenants who have to pay their monthly dues and how to keep them abiding by established rules.
As such, as a landlord, you not only ensure that your virtual tenants pay their rent on time but you also guarantee that everyone follows your guidelines. Violators, such as those who make loud noises or keep the trash too full, can be fined, based on your terms. For sims who are unable to pay the rent, you can resort to either repossessing the items they own or kicking them out of the property completely.
Running a real estate for rent is a serious business. But in The Sims 4 For Rent, it is up to you to either be lenient or strict with how you operate the enterprise. Either way, it is still up to you how to react to whatever the game throws at you. The world of real estate is not necessarily simple, and this new expansion to The Sims 4 seeks to simulate it.
