PlayStation Remote Play Expands to Chromecast 4K and More with Android TV 12

In a suprising but definitely welcome turn of events for PS fans, PlayStation has extended its Remote Play features to a wider range of Android devices. This came alongside the September 2023 Playstation 5 system update.

PlayStation Remote Play is not just a feature; it’s an experience. It bridges the gap between your PS5 or PS4 console and various devices, be it smartphones (both iOS and Android), PCs, Macs, and now, certain Android TVs. This means your favorite games can accompany you far beyond the confines of your living room.

As of today, devices equipped with Android TV OS 12 can revel in the PS Remote Play experience. Among the confirmed devices to support this feature are:

  • Chromecast with Google TV (4K variant)
  • BRAVIA XR A95L model

To embark on this gaming journey on the aforementioned devices, simply locate the PS Remote Play app on your Android TV’s app store, download, install, and let the games begin!

I’ll try post a future update after I have gotten a chance to test it out!
