As part of its participation in the New York Comic-Con (NYCC), Warner Bros. Games dropped a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, which showcases the game’s upcoming DLC in full motion glory—Image Comics’ Omni-Man.
Dubbed “Mortal Kombat 1 – Official Omni-Man First Look,” the 1 minute and 8 seconds trailer comes with the description: “The realms will tremble under the weight of the Viltrum Empire. Omni-Man approaches our timeline”.
As part of Mortal Kombat 1’s up-and-coming Kombatants, Omni-Man will join the ranks of other crossover DLCs, such as The Boys’ Homelander and Suicide Squad’s Peacemaker. In addition, there will be returning ones, like Quan Chi and Ermac, as well.
Alongside Omni-Man, which will release on November 2023, the following DLC characters are already confirmed for release on the following dates:
- Tremor (Kameo) – November 2023
- Quan Chi – Winter 2023/2024
- Peacemaker – Winter 2023/2024
- Ermac – Spring 2024
- Homelander – Spring 2024
- Takeda Takahashi – Summer 2024
Meanwhile, the following characters are also confirmed to become a part of Mortal Kombat 1 as “Kameo” but with unknown release dates, as of writing:
- Ferra (Kameo) – TBA
- Janet Cage (Kameo) – TBA
- Khameleon (Kameo) – TBA
- Mavado (Kameo) – TBA
Mortal Kombat 1 is officially the twelfth mainline entry into the popular fighting franchise. It is also a second reboot, following Mortal Kombat (2011).
